10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Royston Town Centre
Meet Sunday 10am in Royston town centre for a walk across the chalk heath and visit to the mysterious medieval cave hidden under the streets of the town. Royston Heath is a SSSI with Neolithic barrows and offering views over Cambridgeshire, whilst the manmade cave, with its medieval carvings was rediscovered in 1742. Further details on the cave can be found at http://www.roystoncave.co.uk
We have the opportunity of a private guided visit to the cave (indicative cost of £8 / person depending on numbers), which will be more convenient than joining one of the public sessions. However we will need to arrange this beforehand, so please contact myself or Rosemary before the end of April if you will be coming.
