Walking weekend in the Macgillycuddy Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range. Flying to Kerry airport, we will be staying at the Black Valley Youth Hostel in the famous Gap of Dunloe. http://anoige.ie/hostels/our-hostel-guide/black-valley-youth-hostel/
The routes will vary depending on conditions, and there will be options for easier routes as well as treks in the high mountains. Weather permitting we aim to reach the highest mountains in Ireland – Carrauntoohil 1039m, Beenkeragh 1010m and Caher at 1001m. Otherwise the wonderful Mangerton 839m and Purple Mountain 832m lie in store. Killarney National Park, and the joys of locals eateries and pubs will all add to the fun.
